Electrical installation

See also the Fitting Instructions for the "Cold-resistent cable no. 2033126/no. 2033127"

(order no. 8010971, German/English) used for CDB420 respectively the Fitting Instructions

for the "Cold-resistent cable no. 2030065/no. 2031034" (order no. 8010972, German/

English) used for CDM490.

b) Power supply via non-SICK Power pack

Connecting the CLV490 without connector cover:

1. Connect the cable socket on cable no. 2020303 on the "Host/Term" connection and

screw it tightly into position.

2. Connect the cable plug on the cable no. 2020264 to the "I/O" connection and screw

it tightly into position.

3. Connect the power supply to the red wire (Pin 1, V

) and blue wire (Pin 5, GND) on cable

no. 2020303. See also Table 5-13, Page 5-13

Connecting the CLV490 with connector cover/connector cover with parameter mem-

ory:

1. Connect the connector cover of the cable no. 2020981 or no. 2021267 to the "Host/

Term" and "I/O" connections on the CLV490 and secure it tightly.

2. For the cable no. 2020981 connect the power supply to the red/pink wire (Pin 1, VS)

and the blue/grey-brown wire (Pin 5, GND) of cable 1. See also Table 5-15, Page 5-14.

For the cable no. 2021267 connect the power supply to the red wire (Pin 1, VS) and

the black wire (Pin 5, GND) of cable 2. See also Table 5-18, Page 5-15.

The CLV490 is connected to the supply voltage.
