2.1 Parameter

2.1.1 Reading Configuration

Codelabel properties The reading parameters and properties of the barcode are set with the parameters of the

Codelabel properties group.

Reading area The width (Y direction) and the height (Z direction) of the reading area referred to the refer-

ence point can be limited with the parameters of the Reading area group.

Parameters Function

Minimum code position Enter the lower limit of the reading area.

0 = start of reading area

50 = middle of reading area

100 = end of reading area

This value can also be considered for the image output (see

chapter 2.1.4 Image Output, page 15).

Maximum code position Enter the upper limit of the reading area.

0 = start of reading area

50 = middle of reading area

100 = end of reading area

This value can also be considered for the image output (see

chapter 2.1.4 Image Output, page 15).

Symbol contrast Enter the ratio between light and dark areas of the code in per

cent.

Recommendation for standard applications: 27%

Recommended for scanning barcodes on car tyres: 20%
